Fort Tribute’s Civil War Reenactment Weekend
Looking for some frugal family fun this summer?
How about a Civil War reenactment!
These are literally held all around the country, but we are pretty excited to have one happening less than twenty minutes from our home this month!
Saturday, July 30th Activities
Sunday, July 31st Activities
A Lot More to See
Be sure and visit the one-room schoolhouse, carriage house, log cabin, heritage fibers building, blacksmith shop, farmhouse, and more while on the grounds!
The kids really enjoyed visiting the one-room schoolhouse.
A schoolmaster was waiting for them inside the building.
She allowed them to write on the chalkboard and sit at the desks.
The teacher was patient and kind as the children looked around, touched everything, and asked a bunch of questions.
Gift Shop
Fort Tribute does have a little gift shop, so be sure and bring a little spending money in order to pick up a few things to take home.
Sarah loved the Confederate money and postcard she purchased in the gift shop.
Concessions
They also sell concessions on site, like hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, and bottled water, etc.
Tractor-Drawn Wagon Rides
There are even free tractor-drawn wagon rides to take you from one end of the property to the other if you are tired of walking, or if you simply want to enjoy a ride.
Entrance Fee
The entrance fee price definitely fits into my frugal family fun series that I have been working on this summer!
It doesn’t have to be expensive for you and your family to enjoy summertime this year.
The entrance fee to Fort Tribute’s Civil War reenactment is:
- $5.00 per adult
- Kids are free
- $15.00 maximum price per vehicle

Fort Tribute’s Civil War Reenactment Weekend
Sarah and I went to the Fort Tribute Civil War reenactment last year with my eldest daughter, Jaimie, and her three children, Gabriel, Luci, and Fern.
We had a blast and it only cost $15.00 for our whole crew to get in for the day!
Are you planning on going to the Fort Tribute Civil War reenactment this month?
It is a great way to have some frugal family fun.
