Steps to Take When Doing Christmas Shopping Online
Make sure you keep these things in mind while shopping online in order to get ultimate savings.
Look for a Sale
Look for a sale, or even better, a clearance sale.
Online stores run both sales and clearance deals all of the time.
Make this one of your first priorities.
Find those online sales.
Look for a Coupon Code
Look for a coupon code.
Coupon codes can be found everywhere online.
Check out sites like RetailMeNot.com, Coupons.com, Honey, or simply Google the coupon codes you want to find.
Use Cashback Programs
Always use a cashback program.
There are many cashback programs to choose from, like Rakaten.com, Swagbucks, or Groupon.
I love to get cash back on items I was already planning on purchasing!
You may not make a lot of money from these sites, but they can really add up quickly, especially if you get in the habit of doing all of your online shopping through them.
Sign up for Store Reward Programs
Understand the stores’ coupon code rules. Many stores, including Crocs.com, VictorySecret.com, and JoAnn Fabrics will allow you to use more than one coupon code in one order.
Free Shipping
Also, don’t pay for shipping! After finding all of these deals you don’t want to end up paying a fortune in shipping costs. National Free Shipping Days are Dec. 18 and 19 this year, but if you search around the internet you will most likely find a free shipping code.
You can also check the store websites to see if they have any purchases that qualify for free shipping. Another option would be to pick up in the store, if possible. For example, if you order pictures from Walgreens, then choose to pick them up at the store, and just grab them the next time you are in town. Do the same thing when ordering from Walmart, Target, or any other local store.
Watch for Rebates
Watch for rebates on the things you are purchasing.
Check both store and manufacturer websites for rebate offers.
Sign up for programs, like Fetch Rewards, Checkout 51, and Ibotta.
If you decide to sign up for these rebate programs, please consider using my affiliate links.
This will allow me to earn a little bit for referring you. Thank you!
