I spent three years telling my recruiter that I was too busy to join Pampered Chef.
I had twelve children, more than thirty grandchildren, multiple businesses, chronic illness and pain, and a very full life. I could not imagine adding one more thing to my schedule.
I finally joined in August 2024 because I wanted a Pampered Chef pizza stone. What began as a strategic way to earn kitchen products became a flexible source of income that pays me twice a month.
Pampered Chef will not be the right opportunity for everyone. However, if you enjoy the products, like helping people, and get excited about free stuff, then you might want to give it a try!
Here is what you should know before joining.
What Does a Pampered Chef Consultant Do?
Pampered Chef consultants help customers discover kitchen tools, cookware, pantry products, recipes, and meal solutions.
Consultants can sell through:
- Virtual parties
- In-person parties
- Catalog parties
- Fundraisers
- Bridal or wedding showers
- Individual customer orders
- Personal shopping links
You do not need to hold inventory or personally ship customer orders. Customers order through Pampered Chef, and their products are shipped from the company’s warehouse.
That was important to me because I needed something I could manage from my phone or computer without filling my house with inventory.
How Do Pampered Chef Consultants Earn Money?
Pampered Chef consultants begin earning 20% commission on personal sales and can grow from there.
Consultants who build a team may also qualify to earn additional compensation based on team sales.
When enrolled in direct deposit, consultants are paid twice a month:
- Orders submitted from the first through the fifteenth are generally included in the payment on the twenty-second.
- Orders submitted from the sixteenth through the end of the month are generally included in the payment on the eighth of the following month.
I have received a Pampered Chef paycheck twice a month since joining in August 2024, but that happened because I consistently worked my business.
Do You Need to Buy Inventory?
Pampered Chef does not require consultants to keep an inventory of products.
When customers place orders, Pampered Chef processes and ships those orders directly to them.
You may choose to purchase products to use, demonstrate, photograph, or share during parties, but you do not need to maintain shelves of merchandise to resell.
Pampered Chef also states that there are no minimum personal product purchases after joining.
How Much Does It Cost to Join Pampered Chef?
Pampered Chef offers different launch-kit options, and the prices and contents can change.
Some kits contain a smaller selection of tools for someone who wants an inexpensive way to begin. Larger kits may include more products for consultants who want additional tools to demonstrate or use in their own kitchens.
Before joining, review the current options carefully. Choose a kit based on:
- What you can afford
- Which products you will actually use
- Whether you plan to demonstrate products
- How quickly you want to begin holding parties
- Your personal business goals
Do not spend more than your budget allows simply because a larger kit looks exciting.
Check the current kit choices and prices on my Pampered Chef join page.
Can You Work From Home?
Yes. Pampered Chef can be operated from home through virtual parties, online shopping links, texts, phone calls, email, and social media.
You can also choose to hold in-person parties or events.
I run most of my business from my couch, bed, phone, or computer. That flexibility has allowed me to keep working even while dealing with chronic illness, fatigue, and pain.
How Much Time Does Pampered Chef Require?
There is no time clock, and you choose how much time to invest based on your goals.
I can spend as little as 30 minutes a day running my business!
Before joining, decide what you want:
- A personal discount
- A little extra spending money
- Help paying a specific bill
- Free or discounted kitchen products
- A flexible part-time business
- A growing team and leadership income
- A larger long-term income stream
What Support Will You Receive?
New consultants receive company training and business resources. They also receive support from the consultant who recruited them and that consultant’s team.
If you join my team, I will help you:
- Understand the first steps
- Set up your launch
- Learn how to run parties
- Find your first hosts
- Follow up with customers
- Understand monthly promotions
- Work toward your personal goals
- Build a routine that fits your life
You do not have to know everything before joining. You need to be willing to learn and take the next step.
