National Park Fee-Free Days for Summer and Fall 2022

Did you know there was such a thing as National Park Fee-Free Days?

I didn’t!

What a great way to have some super frugal family fun this summer and fall!

The National Park Service will waive entrance fees for all 423 of its parks, monuments, and memorials on its fee-free days this year.

There is nothing so American as our national parks…. The fundamental idea behind the parks…is that the country belongs to the people, that it is in process of making for the enrichment of the lives of all of us. – President Franklin D. Roosevelt

All Entrance Fees are Dropped These Days

Although many park entrances are free all of the time, there are others that can cost between $5.00 and $35.00 per person typically on most days of the year.

It is pretty exciting that even places like Acadia, Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Yellowstone, and Glacier national parks are included in these fee-free days!

National parks are the best idea we ever had. Absolutely American, absolutely democratic, they reflect us at our best rather than our worst. – Wallace Stegner
