October 2022 FoodSenSe Program
The Food$en$e program is provided by the Food Bank of Central New York.
It is a monthly food-buying co-op with no qualifications, subscriptions or requirements for people to participate.
Anyone within the eleven counties served in New York can take part in this service.
This program provides a monthly box of 12-15 staple grocery items at a discounted price.
Each monthly package costs $20.50 with no limit to the number of packages to be purchased one can purchase.
Each month’s items may vary, but the following categories are always included in each box:
- 4-5 meat items e.g. chicken, fish
- 4-5 staple pantry items e.g. pasta, rice, soup
- 2 fresh produce items e.g. carrots, apples

- 13-oz. Kielbasa
- 1-lb. Marinated Beef Portions
- 1-lb. Ground Chicken
- 1-lb. Turkey Bologna
- 13-oz. Pierogies

- 1-lb. Elbow Macaroni
- 1-lb. Frozen Carrots

- Popcorn Chicken, 2 lbs. $6.50, ready to cook
- St. Louis Style Ribs 1.5 lb.s $9.00, fully cooked and
- seasoned in a mild BBQ sauce
- Italian Meatballs, 5 lbs. $16.50, fully cooked
- Onion Rings, 2.5 lbs. $9.50, ready to cook
- Tilapia Fillets, 3 lbs. for $10.00
- Cheese Lasagna Roll-up, 42-oz., for $6.25
