Tanner Creek Farm - Featured Local Small Business
It was her fairy tale wedding come true.
My daughter, Sophia, was so excited to tell me about the perfect venue she had found for her upcoming wedding.
She couldn’t wait to check out Tanner Creek Farm and asked me to tag along to see if it was all she hoped it would be.
We were greeted by Nick and Grace, the owner’s son and daughter-in-law.
They showed us around the farm, and we fell in love with the place immediately.
Meet the Owners
Tom Jasikoff, along with his wife, Pamela, purchased Tanner Creek Farm in 1991.
They happily raised their five children on the 35-acre hobby farm.
Tom retired in 2018. Sort of.
He didn’t retire in the sense of not working.
He continued to build up and reconstruct the property.
Bridal Suite and Lounge
They really have thought of everything here, haven’t they!
That was my exact quote when I saw the bridal suite.
The lower level of the barn has a huge bridal suite/lounge specifically made for the bride and her bridal party to spend the morning preparing for the big day.
The room is very spacious, so none of us felt crowded at all.
There was a curtained-off section for privacy while changing clothes.
A huge mirror hangs on the wall.
There are a lot of hooks to hang dresses from.
There is great lighting, which even includes four separate make-up lights.
There are plenty of countertops and a table with chairs.
We used the table to serve muffins, yogurt, fruit, and juice to the ladies the morning of the wedding.
Couches and chairs made our stay very comfortable.
Restrooms
Two separate bathrooms are available right outside of the bridal suite on the lower level.
Both of these restrooms are very roomy and handicap-accessible.
Full Kitchen
The full kitchen came in super handy during Sophia’s wedding.
There is an oven, microwave, sink, refrigerator, large freezer, and plenty of counter space.
We were able to plug in all of our crockpots and throw things into the oven on low to reheat during the ceremony.
Everything was ready in time for the reception.
The Loft - The Reception Hall
Upstairs is a huge loft that is able to hold up to 235 guests.
It is huge!
It includes a little bar area with a few mini-refrigerators and counter space.
There is even a popcorn machine!
There are plenty of outlets throughout the building.
The loft looks so beautiful with six-foot round tables that are able to seat ten people each.
There are also six and eight-foot rectangle tables.
Each table is covered with a beautiful white linen tablecloth.
There are also 350 padded white folding chairs available.
There was a huge chandelier added to the loft this summer.
White lights are strung inside and out throughout the property.
Professional Sound System and Dance Floor
Tanner Creek Farm offers a professional sound system.
Now, when Nick explained to Sophia and me that Tanner Creek offered a professional sound system for our DJ to use, I asked,
Do you have all of the CDs too?
At this point, Nick and Sophia just stared at me in disbelief.
Finally, Sophia said, Mom! You are aging yourself.
I replied, No, Sophia, CDs aren’t aging me. I didn’t ask if he had 8-tracks!
The younger crew was able to easily tap into the sound system without a hitch, and I guess without a CD.
There is a gorgeous wooden floor that works perfectly for dancing.
The Deck
Just off from the main loft is a big deck.
The deck looks out over the beautiful pastures and Tanner Creek.
The deck is covered with a tent, so it can be enjoyed rain or shine.
Sophia set up her entire buffet out on the deck under the tent.
Outdoor Property
The property is absolutely gorgeous.
There are 35-acres that the owners allow everyone to wander and enjoy.
There are, of course, creeks, hence its name, Tanner Creek Farm.
There’s also a huge variety of wildflowers that are available seasonally.
The owners are happy to let the bride pick any flowers she likes to use at her wedding.
The property is filled with manicured paths, wildlife habitats, gardens, wetlands, edible hedgerows, orchards, and even a vineyard.
Mr. Jasikoff has created 19 ponds around the property!
Sophia's Wedding Ceremony
Sophia’s wedding ceremony was gorgeous.
She walked down a long aisle from the barn past a huge variety of wildflowers.
There was a white arbor set up down beside the grape vineyard and a small pond.
The guests were all seated on white cushioned chairs.
The Owner's Hospitality
The owners of Tanner Creek Farm go above and beyond in their hospitality.
Although Tom and Pamela were out of town during Sophia’s wedding, their son, Nick, and daughter-in-law, Grace, were right there beside us every step of the way.
They made sure we had everything we needed.
They set up tables and chairs. Covered the tables with linen tablecloths, and helped make sure everything was in place.
Sophia only had to put her handmade decorations out onto the tables.
They were not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty either.
I watched them throughout our time there.
They made sure everything stayed neat and clean.
Even all of the trash cans were kept empty.
Outdoor Fun
Sophia’s wedding ended as beautifully as the rest of the day.
As night fell, the white lights lit up the entire place.
Sophia’s siblings decided to have a little more fun by splashing the bride and groom with broken glowsticks that matched the wedding colors perfectly.
Afterward, they settled down around a gas fire pit.
When Sophia wanted to have S’mores, she was a little disappointed because she had forgotten to bring marshmallow sticks.
In steps Nick and Grace yet again.
Nick and Grace came to the rescue and found sticks for everyone to use to make S’mores.
When they were told that the bride wanted to make S’mores but couldn’t because she forgot sticks, they jumped to help.
Nick said, If Sophia wants S’mores, Sophia is going to have S’mores!
Then, Nick and Grace walked outside and cut sticks for the marshmallows.
Sophia's Special Day
Sophia’s fairy tale wedding came true.
I asked Sophia to tell me what she thought of Tanner Creek Farm.
Here’s what she had to say:
It is a beautiful place for sure from the bridal suite to the main floor to the pond where the ceremony was is just gorgeous.
Nick and Grace went above and beyond to make sure that everything was perfect.
They set up the tables, set up the archway, and set up the chairs for the ceremony.
They kept coming in to make sure everything was going well, and even went into the woods to find me roasting sticks so I could have S’mores!
My wedding turned out so amazing!
I would 100% recommend every couple check out Tanner Creek Farm for their weddings.
I feel so blessed for how my wedding turned out!
