10 Things to Buy in the Month of July 2021
#1 – 4th of July – Patriotic Items
The best time to buy patriotic items is actually after July 4th. Buy your American patriotic items once they hit 90% off in the stores.
My daughter, Sarah, just came home with some red, white, and blue pinwheels that she found for ten cents at Walmart.
#2 – Back-to-School Sales
July is one of my favorite times of year simply because that’s when the back-to-school sales hit the stores. I love to get a lot of 25 cents boxes of crayons and 50 cent boxes of markers.
These not only make great school items, but they also make awesome Christmas gifts.
Back-to-school sales include way more than boxes of crayons.
Practically everything to furnish a home will go on sale too.
Stores realize that students are heading off to college and will need to set up housekeeping, so they will be offering everything from coffee pots to furniture to computers at marked-down prices.
#3 – National Ice Cream Day
National Ice Cream Day falls right on my birthday this year, which is July 18th. Make sure you watch for ice cream deals, especially from places like McDonald’s and Dairy Queen.
Dairy Queen is offering $1 off any size Dipped Cone (excluding kid cones) with their DQ mobile app.
#4 – 7-11 Free Slurpees
Do you have the 7-11 app? If yes, make sure you get your free Slurpee in July. If no, why not? Go download the 7-11 app!
#5 – Fishing Gear
Watch for sales on fishing gear this month. Things like, rods, reels, tackle, etc. will be on sale throughout the summer.
#6 – Camping
I know it seems crazy to think that summertime things, like fishing stuff, summer sports, and camping gear would be going on sale right while all of that stuff is at the height of being used, but stores are always trying to stay a season ahead of the game.
They are making room for the fall inventory.
Make sure you check out the camping section of the stores and buy in the month of July.
#7 – Sports Gear, especially baseball and golf
Again, the stores are starting to mark down this type of stuff to make room for the next season’s inventory. Watch for sports gear, especially baseball and golf stuff in the month of July.
#8 – Seasonal Clothing
Now is the time to pick up some super cheap summer clothing.
I love this time of year!
I just got a bunch of summertime socks for a dime in the clearance aisle at Walmart.
There are t-shirts, shorts, dresses, and more being marked down in July.
#9 – Labor Day Flights
Don’t wait to buy your Labor Day airline tickets.
Traditionally, we see Labor Day flights marked down to rock-bottom prices in the month of July.
#10 – Clearance Racks
Don’t miss out on the clearance deals in July. Some of my favorite places to get clearance deals this month, includes Dollar General, Family Dollar, Walmart, and Walgreens.
July is the perfect month to find rock-bottom prices on toys.
It is a great time to fill up the Christmas closet!
