Hi, I’m Candy!
For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Candy Foote. I usually try to have someone in the room who knows me so they can confirm that yes, Candy really is my name!
I’m a mom of 12—six girls and six boys—and now a grandma to more than 30 grandchildren. ❤️ And yes, I’ve heard all the questions over the years. No, I’m not Catholic. No, I’m not Amish. No, I don’t have any twins. And yes, I really do know where they come from. 😄
Another question I get all the time is, “How did you become so thrifty?”
Well, I already answered that one—12 children!
Raising a large family taught me a lot about stretching a dollar, making the most of what we have, and finding creative ways to give my family more without spending more.
Today, one of my greatest joys is sharing those lessons with other families. I love Strategic Shopping, spending time on my little homestead, cooking and preserving food, and sharing what I learned through years of raising and homeschooling a large family.
Along the way, I’ve also learned that saving money isn’t only about finding the best deal. I believe one of the most important parts of living well on a budget is learning to be content with what you have right now.
That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have dreams or goals for the future. It simply means enjoying what you have today while working toward what you want or need tomorrow.
And when it comes to your budget, it isn’t only about how much money comes in. It’s also about making smarter choices with the money going out.
That’s what Strategic Shopping is all about—getting more value from every dollar you spend so you have more for the things and people that matter most.
