Cheap Skinless, Boneless Chicken Breasts from Aldi

If you have read my blog for any length of time at all, then you quickly realized how much I love ALDI! Aldi is not sponsoring this post. I just really want you to know how awesome they are! There have been too many great deals to mention lately, but I had to try. My top ALDI deal this week is definitely their skinless, boneless chicken. I almost jumped for joy when I saw big packages marked at $1.49 per pound. These pieces of chicken are huge! The large packages are averaging between $7.00 and $8.00.

I grabbed four packages. I would have definitely grabbed more, but there is a limit of four.

I have been watching the skinless, boneless chicken breast at different stores because my home canned stashed has been totally depleted.

I didn’t waste any time! I went straight home and canned up 18 pints of chicken. Thank you, ALDI for the cheap skinless, boneless chicken breasts!

Didn’t they turn out beautiful! I love to preserve my own food.

Here they are right after they came out of the pressure canner. The next day, I took off the rings, washed the jars thoroughly, wrote the date on them, and stored them away in my pantry.

I would like to say, I safely stored them away in my pantry, but these jars of pure deliciousness are not safe! They won’t last long!

I can already taste a chicken salad sandwich!

What to do with Canned Chicken

I love the simplicity of having home canned meat on my pantry shelves. This chicken is cooked and ready to eat. I can literally just pop the top and start eating.

I do love to open it up, drain the broth, add mayo, onion, & celery, then eat it on toast. YUM!

It only takes seconds to throw together a soup or stew. I just dump in the contents of the jar, add in a pinch of this and a pinch of that from my dehydrated food stash, and that’s it. Supper is simmering away!

We enjoy making quick chicken tacos and quesadillas. Sophia will love how simple it will be to make her chicken wing dip dinners.

Chicken and dumplings only take a few minutes to cook up when you start with home canned chicken.

Make sure you always check out ALDI’s produce section, too.

Candy had been a good shopper for years. With 12 children, it didn’t take her long to realize that if she wasn’t a smart shopper, she wouldn’t make it very far! She wanted to continue to be a stay-at-home mother, but she wondered if this was going to be possible. Then, she found out about coupons. Coupons have literally changed her life!
