Silver Leaf could easily change its name to The North Country’s Family Restaurant.
If you are from the North Country, then chances are high that you have dined at the Silver Leaf.
Silver Leaf is one of the North Country’s favorite places.

The Back Story
Loretta Thayer, or as we like to call her, Grandma, started out as a worker for many years at the Silver Leaf diner.
After working year after year as an employee and manager of the diner, Grandma took over the restaurant in 2002.
"My father and I go to breakfast every Saturday morning. One thing we can always guarantee is we will get a home-cooked made to order delicious meal." - Heather
It's a Family Affair
Traci Kirker, today’s Silver Leaf owner, spent much of her teen years working at her Grandmother’s diner.
She was always helping put the food trucks away, busting tables, and washing dishes.
Silver Leaf is a family affair.
It is normal to see Traci’s grandmother helping her in the diner now.
I would say they have come full circle, wouldn’t you!
Traci’s mother, Robin Thayer, is often found helping at the diner too.
No wonder it feels like family while you are dining there!

You can stop by any day to enjoy some homemade cooking.
Every Tuesday is Prime Rib Night.

Take-Out Available
Silver Leaf is happy to fill your orders for take-out too.
Stop by for a cup of coffee and a piece of pie while you wait for your order to be filled, or just call ahead and they will have it ready and waiting for you.
Reservations for Large Groups
My father treated my sister, my brother-in-law, my two daughters who still live at home, and myself out to the Silver Leaf as a Christmas gift.
Dad called ahead and set up a reservation to make sure we would be able to get a good table.
Silver Leaf happily set us up with a dinner reservation and saved a nice spot for us to enjoy our Christmas party dinner.
We had a blast. Our laughter was contagious and the waitresses really seemed to enjoy seeing all of us enjoy our time at the Silver Leaf.
The place was packed, as usually, so we were really happy that they accepted reservations!
Outdoor Dining
A fairly new addition to the Silver Leaf is their outdoor dining area.
Of course, this isn’t available during the winter months, but I just had to mention it.
The outdoor terrace is set up beautifully.
Traci keeps it decorated year-round.
I really enjoyed seeing the huge variety of gorgeous flowers throughout the summer, the pumpkins in the fall, and the Christmas decor over the winter.
