National Dairy Month
June is National Dairy Month.
Our local town always celebrates Dairy month in a big way.
On Friday, June 3rd, the town of Canton, New York, will close off one of their streets and celebrate with a block party, including live music.
There will be Big Wheel contests for the kids and a lot of vendors around town.
On Saturday, June 4th, the fun continues.
There will be a big Dairy Princess parade beginning at one o’clock.
Make sure you take advantage of any free events your town may be sponsoring this month and throughout the summer.
I love National Dairy Month simply because of my love of ice cream.
Watch for all kinds of ice cream sales this month.
Also, be on the lookout for other dairy products, such as milk, cheese, and yogurt on sale this month.
National Headache Month
Did you know there was such a thing as National Headache Month? People like me who suffer from almost non-stop headaches appreciate this because it comes with all kinds of sales on headache medicine.
Also, watch for free information on how to naturally treat headaches.
One of my favorite ways is by picking fresh herbs out of my own garden and throwing them into a cup of tea.
(Of course, I am not a doctor or trained herbalist, so be sure and seek out this information for yourself.)
Gardening
Spring has finally sprung in the North Country, so the race is on to put in those gardens.
I absolutely love springtime. Everything is coming back to life up here and it just looks and smells wonderful.
I am also loving all of the gardening supply sales!

If you aren’t an avid fisherman, but still want to enjoy a few days of it, make sure you check out when your local area offers Free Fishing Days. There is no need to spend a lot of money buying a fishing license if you don’t plan on doing a lot of fishing.
Free Fishing Days lets you fish without a license.
New York’s Free Fishing Days are on June 25th and June 26th this year.

My family loves to go! We are hoping to go to an old-fashioned drive-in movie theater this summer.
