Christmas in August – How to Fill the Gift Closet
In August, the stores are in full-fledged back-to-school sales.
Anything that has to do with school or office supplies is going to be marked down at the
absolute lowest prices of the year.
These are stock-up prices!
These make awesome gifts.
I fill a folder with a single-subject notebook, a box of crayons, a box of colored pencils, and a box of markers.
This gift costs just over a dollar!
Don’t forget to pick up a few backpacks while they are marked way down.
I try to always have boxes of crayons stuffed into the gift closet.
These make quick and easy gifts, especially for those children that stop by unexpectedly that you didn’t have a gift prepared for them.
Crayons are always great to pull out when the grandchildren are over for the day, or just on those cold rainy, and snowy days!
Socks and underwear are marked at rock-bottom prices this month too.
This is the time to stock up for the year. I always buy enough to add to the gift closet because everyone loves to get new socks for Christmas!
You will find some deals on back-to-school clothing but check those clearance racks first.
Also, watch for no sales tax on clothing days!
