I also make sure to keep extra boxes of crayons tucked into my gift closet year-round. They are fantastic to pull out when:

Basic clothing items like socks and underwear hit rock-bottom pricing this month as well. Now is the time to stock up for the entire year. I always buy extra pairs to throw in the gift closet—because let’s be honest, who doesn’t love getting fresh, cozy socks for Christmas?

You’ll also spot good deals on back-to-school apparel but make sure to check the clearance racks first for the deepest discounts. And keep an eye out for your state’s tax-free shopping weekend this month to save even more!
