Julie Naturally – 2 Faith Journeys Bible Study Series: Romans Bundle – a TOS Crew Review
I remember a dear lady from church taking me aside one day and telling me not to be upset if I didn’t find alone time with God every day.
She went on to say that raising my family was my ministry and I was not to be discouraged when it came to taking care of little ones.
Of course, I immediately thought, Why would I not have time to spend with God???
Certainly, it was just a matter of focus and time management, right?
Well, as one baby after another started making their appearance, the wise words of this elderly lady came rushing back to me.
For those of you who don’t know, I have 12 children. There are 22 years between the eldest and the youngest.
For a good share of that time, I raised them off the grid, on a hobby farm. Raising a huge garden. Raising and canning much of our own food.
Throw in the fact that I was homeschooling them and you can just imagine what happened to my alone time with God.
Instead of leisurely time in the Word of God, quiet time in prayer, and getting lost in worship, it looked more like, Help me, Lord, while running from one thing to the next.
I am now in my 28th year of homeschooling. I no longer homeschool 12 children. I am down to just three now, but I still look for ways that I can spend time alone in God’s Word.
The TOS Review Crew has provided me with a myriad of resources over the years. I was excited at the opportunity to review Julie Naturally – Faith Journeys Bible Study Series: Romans Bundle.
Julie Naturally’s – Book of Romans
I received access to the book of Romans in e-book form. I printed out my copy as soon as I got it.
It was an eight-week study of all sixteen chapters in Romans. Each week covered two chapters.
The e-book includes thought-provoking questions that coincide with a video study given by Julie Polenco.
It also includes memory cards that could be cut out and easily hung around the house.
It also came with some fun, little coloring sheets.
I thoroughly enjoyed Julie’s Bible study approach. Each video showed Julie sitting in her home in a very relaxed setting.
I felt like we were good friends sitting on the couch together while enjoying a hot cup of tea and discussing the Bible.
Julie Naturally – Book of Philippians
Faith Journeys Bible Study Series: Philippians by Julie Polenco came as an e-book, which I printed out immediately.
It also included online lessons, daily Bible verses, thought-provoking questions that encourage you to dive deeper into the Bible, memory cards, and fun coloring sheets.
All scripture was taken from the 1984 NIV Bible, Moody Bible Commentary.
I love the idea of the Bible memory cards. I remember writing out Scriptures on 3×5 cards and hanging them all over my house while raising my children. These cards were already done for me. I just needed to cut them out, and tape them around the house.
Of course, since this is a study on Philippians, all Scriptures were taken out of the book of Philippians for the memory work.
Although the book of Philippians is what is being studied, other Bible Scriptures are cross-referenced in order to help get a full understanding of what and why things are discussed in the book of Philippians.
The entire study is meant to be spread out over a 4-week period of time.
It covers six days per week. Each day’s study includes Bible Scripture for you to read, Bible memory for you to continue working on, and questions that truly make you think. Each day’s lesson is short and set up like a devotional.
At the end of each week’s lessons, there is an adult-type coloring sheet with the theme of love for you to enjoy.
This comes with access to the audio/video content that is included in the bundle for as long as Julie Naturally offers it in her store.

I seriously feel that the Julie Naturally studies on both the book of Romans and the book of Philippians will not only work well for busy homeschooling moms, but it would be a great Bible study for your high school students.
