So, why do I need a Price Chopper Rewards card to save money?
All of Price Chopper’s sales are connected to their AdvantEdge card.
You will not get the sale price if you don’t have a rewards card.
You do NOT want to pay full price for things at Price Chopper, so make sure you sign up for their Rewards card.
Some people get confused while shopping at Price Chopper. They see an item and it is marked with a specific sale price.
The problem?
You will only receive that price IF you scan your rewards card.
Price Chopper can be a very expensive store to shop at unless you are getting the sale prices, so sign up for a rewards card.

Getting the sale price isn’t the only reward you will get for using the AdvantEdge card with each transaction.

The points can be redeemed for savings on a future order at any Price Chopper or Market 32 location.

There are a few different ways to earn points with your rewards card.
Buy Gift Cards
Price Chopper has a large variety of gift cards.
You can earn rewards when you purchase gift cards and use your AdvantEdge card.
Now, through February 14, 2024, you can earn 5x the rewards when purchasing gift cards.
*Some acceptions do apply.
Shop inside Price Chopper
You will earn one point for every $1.00 spent at Price Chopper when you use your rewards card.
100 points = $1.00 toward groceries, charities, student loans, 1 sweepstakes entry, OR 5¢ off a gallon of gas*.
*Up to 20 gallons
This could indeed take a long time to earn enough points for it to even be worth it.
The trick is to pay attention to the special items marked each week that give extra points when buying.
Shop Online at Price Chopper’s Website
You can earn the same points while shopping from home that you would earn inside the store.
Watch for items that will earn you extra points when doing your shopping online.
Refinance Your Student Loans
You can earn 10,000 points by refinancing your student loans.
Check the Price Chopper ad for items that offer extra reward points each week.

I used to always use my points at the gas station.
Now, I tend to save on gas in other ways and use my Price Chopper rewards to pay down my grocery bill.
I will often wait for the large packages of toilet paper to go on sale, add in a coupon, pay for it with Price Chopper reward points, and then earn cash back with the Fetch app.

How to Sign Up for a Price Chopper AdvantEdge Card
There are quite a few advantages to signing up and using Price Chopper’s AdvantEdge card.
You can sign up at the service desk at your local Price Chopper.
You can sign up for a reward card while checking out. Just ask your clerk.
How to Keep Track of Your Rewards
There are a few different ways to keep track of your AdvantEdge Rewards point balances.
They are printed on your receipt.
They are in your profile on the Price Chopper mobile app.
They are in your account on the Price Chopper website.
When Do Points Expire?
Reward Points are valid until the end of the month that is two months after the date on which they are earned.
For example, AdvantEdge Rewards points earned anytime in January would expire at the end of March of the same year.
Your receipt and your clerk will let you know when you have points about to expire.
Exclusions
You can’t earn points on everything at Price Chopper though.
There are a few exclusions.
- Price Chopper and Market 32 gift cards
- Alcohol
- Tobacco
- Money orders
- Western Union
- Lottery tickets
- Postage stamps,
- Entertainment tickets
- Bottle deposits
- Copy/fax services
- Taxes
- Other items prohibited by law
Price Chopper’s Pharmacies:
You can’t earn points on any Medicare, Medicaid, or Private Insurer’s portion of prescriptions
You can, however, earn points when your paid prescription co-pay is included in the program except in New York or where prohibited by law or government programs.
