Make Extra Money in Time for Christmas
Christmas is never over. It’s always coming.
Are you prepared for Christmas this year?
Are you ready for all of the great sales and deals that will be running during this season?
What could be worse for a Strategic Shopper than seeing all kinds of amazing Christmas deals floating around without any money to spend?
I know how the conversation in your head goes.
Next year, I am going to be ready for these deals and have extra money for Christmas.
Yet, next year always seems to be just out of reach.
Here’s an idea.
Instead of waiting for next year, let’s prepare now for this year – Christmas 2022!
There are too many quick and easy ways to make a little extra cash in today’s world, so let’s take advantage of them!
#1 – Earn Drug Store Rewards
Do you shop at any drug stores?
The three major drug stores in the United States are Walgreens, Rite Aid, and CVS.
My nearest Rite Aid is quite a ways from me, and unfortunately, I don’t have a CVS, but I love to shop at Walgreens!
I like to build up my Walgreens Cash, then use them to buy Christmas presents.
There are still plenty of clearance deals in the drug stores this time of year that can be snatched up to use as excellent Christmas gifts.
One year, I bought a shopping cart full of backpacks and school supplies marked down to ridiculously low prices.
The backpacks were only 49 cents, but I paid closer to 10 cents each after my Walgreens Cash was calculated into the equation.
I used a backpack as a gift bag for each one of my grandchildren’s birthdays throughout the following year.
I have a lot of grandchildren, so that was a cartful of backpacks!
I will be shopping the deals at Walgreens each week and taking advantage of all of their Walgreens Cash rewards.
Walgreens usually offers amazing Christmas deals, including toys priced at buy one get two free! Many times the one toy you actually need to pay for is only $6.99. I plan on saving up my Walgreens Cash rewards to get super cheap, and even free toys for my gift closet.
One time, I bought a toy for each one of my grandchildren’s birthdays for the following year during this amazing sale.
This took the stress off from the entire following year because I had my grandkids’ birthday gifts safely tucked away in my gift closet!
Earning drugstore rewards is a great way to earn some extra money for Christmas this year.
#2 – Swagbucks
Are you using Swagbucks to earn extra Christmas spending money?
I have literally earned hundreds of dollars worth of gift cards through Swagbucks over the years.
Swagbucks has a variety of ways to earn points.
You can start earning through Swagbucks today by doing your normal, everyday activities, like watching entertaining videos, searching the web, answering surveys, printing coupons, and doing the online shopping that you already planned on doing.
These points can be used to purchase gift cards, Visa cards, or even cash through your PayPal account.
Swagbucks offers way too many different store gift cards for me to name in this little blog post, but trust me, there are a lot!
Some of the most popular gift cards are Amazon, Dunkin Donuts, Walmart, and Target.
More rare gift cards include stores like, Cabela’s, Southwest Airlines, and eBay.
I have earned over $500.00 in Amazon cards since I signed up for my Swagbucks account!
Of course, one of my favorite ways to earn points is by printing my coupons through the Swagbucks link.
They give me points for printing the coupons, then give me more points when I actually use the coupons.
Now, that’s a couponer’s dream come true!
Be aware that it can take quite a while for your Swagbucks to show up in your account, so the sooner you get started the better.
Please consider using my referral link when you sign up. It won’t change your account at all, but it will give me a small reward for sending you their way.
#3 – Digital Rebate Apps
There are literally too many digital rebate apps to mention. The digital world has made getting rebates extremely easy.
I don’t try to use every single rebate app available. I just choose a few good ones and stick with them. Trying to use them all just becomes too overwhelming.
Are you interested in earning money back on the purchases you already plan on making?
Who wouldn’t be, right!?!
Just click on the links below to sign up for your FREE digital rebate accounts.
Please consider using my referral links when you sign up. It won’t change your account at all, but it will give me a small reward for sending you their way.

#4 – Sell Your Clutter
Everyone is selling and buying online today. There is no better time to start selling all of that unwanted clutter lying around your house.
What are you waiting for?
You can clean out your home and get some extra money just in time for the holidays.
Those are two things on your Christmas to-do list anyway!
One of the easiest ways to sell your stuff online is right through your social media.
Let your Facebook friends know that you are about to list some items, then start selling.
#5– Instacart
I became a shopper/delivery person for Instacart back in January 2020 just before the pandemic shut everything down.
I loved it!
I kept saying that having personal shoppers and getting your groceries delivered to your door was really going to become a big thing in the future.
I just had no idea that the future was just a couple of months away and the catalyst would be a worldwide pandemic!
Here’s the awesome part about working as a shopper/delivery person for InstaCart.
You get to choose when to work and which jobs to accept.
The job description comes up on your phone. You can see which town you will be shopping in, and how far it will take you to deliver it.
It tells you how much the job will pay and how much the customer will pay you in tips.
You can choose as many or as few jobs as you would like that day.
It is extremely flexible and makes it super easy to make some extra cash.
They also make it easy to get paid.
I have always chosen to get a direct deposit into my checking account every week, but you can also choose instant cash and get paid the same day!
If you are interested in becoming an InstaCart shopper/delivery person, please consider using my referral information so I can get credit for sending you over there. Thank you!

#6 – Shop for Friends and Family
Maybe you don’t want to actually join a shopping and delivery company, but the idea of shopping for others is intriguing.
Let your friends and family know that you are available to do some shopping for them.
Let everyone on social media know too!
#7– Do Laundry
Doing other people’s laundry right in my own home has always been a way for me to make some quick cash.
It might be easier to get started than you think.
Throw it out there on Facebook.
Tell your friends and family that you are looking for ways to make some extra Christmas money by doing laundry.
I haven’t meant a single person who wouldn’t like some extra help with laundry!
Everyone is stressed, overwhelmed, and super busy during the holiday season.
This is a win-win situation for everyone involved.
It’s a great way to make some extra money for Christmas!
#8 – Clean Houses and Vehicles
Cleaning jobs are always available.
Consider doing housework, or even cleaning vehicles in order to make some extra cash.
#9 – Wrap Christmas Gifts
Everyone is strapped for time, even in the middle of a pandemic.
A lot of people simply hate wrapping presents.
Many people would love to have some extra help wrapping their Christmas gifts this year.
I am not a fancy gift wrapper, but I have still been able to make some much-needed extra cash by wrapping Christmas gifts for friends and family members.
I just tell my friends and family to drop off their gifts, along with wrapping paper, tape, ribbon, and bows.
Then, I charge so much for my services.
Again, just let your Facebook peeps know that you are available.
#10 – Do Some Baking
Sell some baked goods.
Do you make bread, pies, cakes, or Christmas cookies?
Sell some!
People love homemade food, but they don’t always have the time or the energy to make it.
Offer to make it for them.
#11 – Shovel Snow
You probably won’t see me outside in the cold shoveling snow, but my children have made a lot of money over the years by doing just that.
If you live in a snowy area, then shoveling snow is a great way to make some extra cash for Christmas.
#12 – Drive
There are a lot of people who can’t or won’t drive themselves anywhere.
You could make some extra cash by offering to drive for them.
Take them to the store.
Take them to their appointments.
Set up a deal to either drive their vehicle or use your own car.
Either way, driving people around town is an easy way to make some extra Christmas money.
