This year, Dunkin Donuts is offering a free donut with the purchase of any drink.
Make sure you check in with your favorite coffee shop, bakery, or grocery store to see if they will be participating in Free Donut Day this year.

Donut Day History
The first Donut Day began as a way to cheer up soldiers who were risking their lives in the trenches during the war.
Back home, Doughnut Day became a way to raise awareness about the war and to raise funds for Salvation Army’s activities on the battlefield.
