Use the Walmart App to Scan Items in Store
Clearance, clearance everywhere, but not everything is marked at a price I want to pay.
It isn’t uncommon to walk through Walmart and see a big clearance sign with a tag that reads, Regular price $9.97; Clearance price $9.47.
Ummm, no!
Sorry, Walmart!
That’s not even a sale, let alone a clearance price.
Have you ever noticed that?
Good Item, but Not a Good Price
Sometimes I find things I want on the clearance racks, but I don’t like the clearance price.
The first thing I do is pull out my phone and open up my Walmart app.
I always scan, scan, scan to double-check prices.
Walmart is a huge store and the employees can’t necessarily keep up with how fast prices are changing.
That’s why it’s important to scan.
If I want an item, but not at that price, I check to see if the price is accurate.
In this pic of Pampers Slashers Swim Diapers above, they were marked $7.18, but they scanned for $5.00.
I didn’t change the price by scanning.
If I didn’t scan and just took them up to the register, they still would have rung up for just $5.00.
I am sure you have experienced this before.
You thought you were going to pay one price, but when the clerk rang your item through you were pleasantly surprised to see it ring up at a lower price.
The scanner just lets me know before I get to the register.
This gives me the chance to decide whether or not I am willing to pay the actual price or not.
Many times I am willing to pay the lower price, while if it were the higher price I would just leave it on the shelf.
Scan to Locate Things in the Store
I also like to use my Walmart app scanner to quickly locate things in the store.
Have you ever noticed that the stores don’t necessarily put things where you would think they belong?
That’s when the app scanner comes in handy.
Just type in what you are looking for and the app will tell you which aisle you will find that item. 🙂
