Did you know that you can use coupons at the Dollar Tree?
I have literally had people ask me why I would want to use coupons at the Dollar Tree.
Seriously, who wouldn’t want to save money at any store!
Dollar Tree’s Coupon Policy
Just the fact that Dollar Tree even accepts coupons is exciting! I have bought many things in Dollar Tree and only paid the tax.
The trick to shopping there is to make sure your coupon matches up exactly with the product.
Dollar Tree tends to sell smaller versions of products, so always check the sizes on both the item and the coupon.
Also, keep in mind that a lot of generic brands use the exact same colors as brand names, so don’t be fooled.
Limits on Internet Coupons
Dollar Tree has a limit on the number of internet coupons you can use in a single day.
Their coupon policy specifically says each person is only allowed to use two internet printable coupons per day.
They will not accept any internet printable coupon that is for a totally free item.
That doesn’t mean they won’t accept one dollar coupons on $1.00 items though!
It simply means, if the coupon specifically says that it is for a FREE item, then they will not accept it.
No Limits on Regular Paper Coupons
There is no limit on the number of regular paper coupons you can use in a single transaction though.
You can use as many paper manufacturer coupons, like the ones found in the newspaper, as you like.
Four Like Coupons
They do, however, limit how many of the exact same coupons you use in a single transaction.
If you have five $1.00 off Betty Crocker cake mixes, you will only be allowed to use four of those coupons.
No Coupons at Dollar Tree Online
At this time, Dollar Tree does not accept manufacturer coupons at their online shops.
Coupons Valued Over a Dollar
If the coupon is valued for more than the item being purchased, Dollar Tree will reduce the coupon down to the actual price of the product.
You will still need to pay the tax though.
How to use Manufacturer Coupons at the Dollar Tree
Match the Size of the Product and Coupon
One of the tricks to using manufacturer coupons at Dollar Tree is to make sure your coupon matches up exactly with the product you want to purchase.
They tend to sell smaller versions of products, so always check the sizes on both the item and the coupon.
Pay Close Attention to the Packaging
Another trick to using manufacturer coupons at Dollar Tree is by paying close attention to the packaging.
Many times the generic brands mimic the coloring of the brand-name items, so pay close attention.
You might see the same color scheme as Crest toothpaste, but make sure you read the packaging closely to see if it is the actual brand you are looking for, or a closely resembled generic brand.

I have purchased quite a variety of products from Dollar Tree with manufacturer coupons over the years.
Now that Dollar Tree has raised its prices by 25%, it’s the perfect time to start adding manufacturer coupons into the mix.
Start Small
Start small.
Just take one, two, or three coupons to the Dollar Tree the next time you are out shopping and give it a try.
Don’t make it overwhelming.
You don’t need to get every deal in town.
Every little savings counts.
