Summertime is the best time to get all of those back-to-school sales! I always tend to go overboard when it comes to stocking up on all of these amazing back-to-school deals.
I love to have extra art supplies, notebooks, and more on hand when my grandkids come to visit.
I also love to stock the gift closet with backpacks, twenty-five boxes of crayons, fifty-cent markers, and notebooks while they are at their rock-bottom prices.
Laptops/Computers
Laptops and computers can be found at discounts this time of year too. Make sure you are shopping around to find the best deals before making this big purchase.
Home Stuff – Everything to set up a home at college
Back-to-school means setting up a whole new home for those students going off to college. The stores know this so they are marking down everything it takes to run a home, including small appliances, like coffee makers and toasters, plus bigger appliances, like apartment size refrigerators.
We will also see storage and organization stuff marked down during these back-to-school sales.
School Clothes and Summer Clothing
Back-to-school clothes don’t have to break the bank. Start out by checking out all of the clearance racks. Yes, a lot of the clearance clothes are being sold as summertime clothing, but honestly, a t-shirt is a t-shirt! Just because it is listed as a summertime t-shirt doesn’t mean it won’t work during the other seasons too.
I remember going to Sears one year and buying over $700 worth of shirts for under $20.00!
Don’t skip those clearance racks!
Lunch Box Foods
Lunch boxes and all of the food that goes into them will be marked down just in time for back-to-school days. Make sure you stock up so you aren’t stuck paying full price later on in the year.

I love to see communities pull together to bless each other. This is the time of year many salons are offering rock-bottom prices or even totally free haircuts for students.

Back-to-school deals are even available when it comes to kids’ glasses. Check out local opticians to see if they are offering some rock-bottom prices on eye care for students this month.

Summertime is one of the best times to do your Christmas shopping because there are so many toys on clearance! Don’t miss out on all of these clearance toys. Fill up your gift closet now, then pull out some amazing, yet not expensive gifts throughout the year.
Summertime Themed Items
If it has a summertime theme, then get ready to buy at rock-bottom prices. Stores are ready to bring in fall and yes, even wintertime items this time of year.
Watch the prices of swimming pools, swimming accessories, everything to do with barbecues, lawnmowers, lawn care items, gardening supplies, and even air conditioners.
Produce
August is the perfect time to stock the pantry and freezer with delicious produce. Of course, it is also the perfect time to eat fresh fruits and vegetables!
The stores, Farmer’s Markets, and roadside stands are filled to overflowing with fresh produce.
