Blake eLearning Inc – Reading Eggs – a TOS Crew Review
Blake eLearning Inc – Reading Eggs is one of those online curriculum programs that I absolutely love. I, actually, fell in love with the Blake E-Learning Inc. program many years ago.
I have 12 children. Yes, 12. And, yes, I actually gave birth to all 12 of them. We began homeschooling back in the Stone Age of homeschooling in the year 1993.
Amazing online programs, like the Blake e-Learning Inc. curriculum hadn’t been invented yet.
We finally had the opportunity to subscribe to Reading Eggs with my middle children.
I remember it well. I have a few children with dyslexia, and learning to read had become an enormous burden on both students and mama!
Reading Eggs quickly became a lifesaver at the Foote Family Homeschool!
Reading Eggs enabled us to overcome dyslexia by covering multiple sensory learning techniques, including visual, audio, and hands-on learning through interactive games.
Reading Eggs Junior
Reading Eggs Junior is aimed at your youngest students. It was created for ages 2 through 4.
One of my favorite parts of this program is that Reading Eggs Junior tells me which books were read, and which videos were watched each week. It gives a complete detailed record of my student’s progress.
My students love the fun characters used to walk them through each lesson. They love to complete each lesson in order to earn online rewards, like stickers and Reading eggs.
Reading Eggs
The next level is Reading Eggs. This program is aimed at your 3 through 7 ages students.
I am a long time proponent of teaching children through both songs and games. Just the fact that most adults still sing the alphabet is living proof that these techniques ensure the lessons being taught will stick throughout the years!
I love that Reading Eggs uses both songs and games throughout their lessons.
My children really benefited from it!
As a busy homeschooling mom, I really love that Reading Eggs keeps track of all of my student’s records and progress.
I am able to see at a glance my student’s estimated reading age, and details, like exactly how many phonics skills and sight words she has mastered.
Fast Phonics
Fast Phonics is meant for ages 5 – 10. This is the newest addition to the Blake e-Learning Inc. curriculum.
Sarah was super excited about the new Fast Phonics addition to Reading Eggs. I laughed as she told me how much she loved to see the Yeti jump up and down during her lessons.
I love how it reinforced her knowledge of phonics in such a fun and memorable way.
Reading Eggspress
Finally, Reading Eggspress completes the language arts program. It is aimed at ages 7 – 13.
Reading Eggspress uses the same techniques to further your student’s knowledge of language arts.
English Skills teaches spelling lessons in a fun and interactive way that keeps your students attention and really helps them to hold on to what is being taught.
The library section allows your student to choose from a variety of genres.
And, again, my favorite part is the record keeping!
Reading Eggspress kept detailed records of each book my student read. They even let me know how many of those books were fiction, and how many were nonfiction!
They kept track of my child’s lexile level and growth, and kept a record of each assessment given.
Mathseeds
Mathseeds is interactive math program created for ages 4 through 9.
Mathseeds helps to guarantee all of your three R’s are being met!
Again, they accomplish this by teaching your students with games, songs, and hands-on interactive fun.
On top of that, they keep complete track of your child’s progress with detailed record keeping.
