Cheap Lysol Products at Walgreens

I was super excited to get cheap Lysol products at Walgreens tonight!

I know that most of you are not going to be able to get these Lysol products as cheap as I did this week, but I want to show you how to prepare for next time.

Cheap Lysol Products at Walgreens

Walgreens has some cheap Lysol products this week.

Lysol Spray – 12.5 ounces – $6.99 BOGO (buy one/get one free)

Lysol All-Purpose Cleaner – 32 ounces – $4.49 BOGO (buy one/get one free)

I bought two of the Lysol Spays and two Lysol All-Purpose Cleaners.

My total came to $12.40, including 8% New York sales tax.

One Lysol Spray and one Lysol All-Purpose Cleaner for FREE with the Walgreens’ sale.

I used two $2.00 off manufacturer coupons. This brought my total down to $8.40.

Then, I used $4.00 in Balance Reward points. This brought my total down to $4.40!

My OOP (out-of-pocket) was $4.40!

I paid $1.10 per item! Now that is some cheap Lysol products!

How Did I Get the Manufacturer Coupons?

This deal was made so sweet due to the awesome manufacturer coupons that I had in my arsenal.

Unfortunately, you probably don’t have these coupons, but I can show you how to get them.

FREE Lysol Bathroom Cleaner

I remember the very first time I sent a letter to a company. I loved the smell of Lysol’s spray cleaner. I decided to send them a letter telling them how much I enjoyed it. Weeks later, I received a thank you letter and a coupon for a FREE bottle of their cleaner!

I was super excited! That’s when I officially caught the Couponing Bug.

That was over 30 years ago, but this tactic still works today.

I write to companies all the time, but today I use email, so I don’t even have to pay the price of a stamp!

Emailing Companies

People are always telling me that coupons are not worth it because they can’t find coupons for items their families actually use.

Emailing companies enables me to get coupons from manufacturers whose products my family uses regularly. I like to go through my freezer and pantry to see which products I typically buy, then I email those companies.

I also like to look through my local stores, or their sales flyers, then email the companies for those products. That way I know which stores carry the products I receive coupons on.

Sample Email

I normally say something, like:

I am the mother of a mega family, which includes 12 children. My family really enjoys your products. Could you possibly send me some coupons? Thank you for your time.

Now, before you get too scared, no, you don’t have to have 12 children for this to work. My sister only has two children, and she has been receiving coupons in this manner for many years. 🙂

Each Company has Different Rules

Each company is different, so don’t get discouraged. Some say no, some say yes, and some say yes, but not right now. Don’t give up! Keep emailing them!

Each company sends out a certain amount of coupons. Once they have reached that, you must wait until they reset and start again.

Do you want coupons your family will actually use?

If you want to use coupons on items your family will actually use, then you need to start emailing companies and requesting some. Let me know in the comments or on my Facebook page which coupons you get!

Walgreens’ Balance Rewards

Walgreens offers a rewards program. You can earn points that convert into Walgreens’ money. You can use this ‘money’ to buy most things in their store. Of course, there are some exceptions. Balance Rewards can’t be used on things, like lottery tickets, cigarettes, alcohol, and dairy products.

There are a few tricks to using Balance Rewards, which I will address in another blog post.

candyfoote

Candy had been a good shopper for years. With 12 children, it didn’t take her long to realize that if she wasn’t a smart shopper, she wouldn’t make it very far! She wanted to continue to be a stay-at-home mother, but she wondered if this was going to be possible. Then, she found out about coupons. Coupons have literally changed her life!
