There are a number of things you should buy in April.
Spring Cleaning Sales
With spring comes spring cleaning, and with spring cleaning comes sales on cleaning supplies!
I love all of the deals on cleaning supplies this month. I have seen everything from Clorox and Lysol products to nontoxic brands, like Mrs. Meyer’s marked down this month.
Throw in some coupons, rewards programs, and rebates and we are seeing downright amazing deals!
Think About Your Gift Closet
Are you overrun with cleaning products, but still find great deals that are hard to walk away from? Grab those deals and throw the stuff into your gift closet. These types of products make excellent house warming presents, bridal shower gifts, or even a nice basket to give at a reception. Think outside of the box!
Holiday Clearance
Make sure you snatch up some holiday clearance this month. Easter is over and the markdowns have already started. Most stores have marked Easter clearance at 50% off. They will continue to drop. My favorite, of course, is when it hits 90% off.
Don’t be fooled by the packaging. Typically, if it is sold with the holiday stuff, then it gets marked down with the holiday stuff.
Easter Deals
I said it once, but I will say it again, think outside of the box. Grab those Easter baskets when they get marked down to 10 and 25 cents each. These baskets can be used to make nice gift baskets. Don’t like the color? Just spray paint them!
Make a chef’s basket – Fill it with bowls, spoons, measuring cups, and spatulas. Throw in some homemade baking mixes and you have an awesome gift!
A movie basket – Walmart has a $3.00 and $5.00 movie bin, but Dollar Tree sells DVDs too! Fill the basket with popcorn, candy, a beverage, and a movie or two.

Artist/Coloring basket
A chocolate lover’s basket (Now you know what to get for me!)
And so much more!
Don’t forget to pick up those clearance Easter dresses and suits. Buy enough for both Christmas gifts and next year’s Easter outfits!
Clearance Racks
It doesn’t have to be Easter themed to get great clearance deals right now. Stores are filled with clearance all of the time. April is a great month to still find winter items, like slippers, slipper socks, shoes, boots, hats, scarves, mittens, gloves, and more.
