Smart Kidz Radio and Homeschooling Audio Learners
When my children were little, it didn’t take me long to realize that watching a movie or listening to a story was something that stuck in their heads. I would hear them quoting a movie that they had only watched once years earlier. I immediately caught on to that and decided using television, audio books, and different forms of visual and audio learning was something that really helped my children to learn.
Since my family tends to be both visual and audio learners, I quickly decided to incorporate this type of education into our homeschool.

Our family had just recently gotten a new to us conversion van, and we were excited to jump into it and go around the North Country to look at all of the fall leaves that had been quickly turning into a myriad of beautiful colors.
I jumped at this perfect opportunity to combine leaf watching and audio school!
(Yes, we homeschooling mamas can be tricky that way!)

It took a few minutes for everyone to agree on what we should listen to on our ride.

Everyone did agree to start listening to some music, but which kind was the dilemma!
Every kind of music that you could think of, and many kinds of music that you probably couldn’t think of, are all available on Smart Kids Radio!

How about some Latin music?
I wanted to listen to some country or some classical music, but the girls decided on some Christmas music in September!
(My kids think Christmas music is acceptable 12 months out of the year.)
Smart Kidz Radio definitely made driving around the countryside looking at leaves a bit more fun.
Each Family Member has Their Own Tastes in Audio Learning
Although we thoroughly enjoyed using Smart Kidz Radio during our family time, I decided to let each one of my students use this site on their own devices.
Judy really enjoyed listening to Classical music, the different foreign language programs, and the bedtime songs.
Christina enjoyed listening to the classical music and the foreign languages.
Sarah kept the Christmas music playing all of the time to the delight of my young grandchildren. They were so excited to hear Christmas music! I mean, Christmas music could only mean that it is Christmas time, right?!?
Foote Family Homeschool
It was super easy to incorporate Smart Kidz Radio into our family’s homeschool routine.
Everyone morning, I put Kids Bible and Inspirational Songs on while the family was rising and shining.
Listening to this type of music first thing in the morning is the perfect way to set the mood for a good and calm day.
The Let’s Celebrate America Programs went perfectly with our American history, government, and economics studies.
We listened to a lot of the Study Background Programs, which softly played Beethoven, Mozart, Chopin, and more.
I really liked the songs that helped with rote memory, like math facts and reading tricks.
They didn’t stop with the basics though. They also covered more complicated subjects, like chemistry, space, and physics!
Many of these lessons combine both talking about the subject and using catchy songs to help your students to get the most out of each topic.
The kids enjoyed the attention grabbing voices used by Smart Kidz Radio. I called the voice types circus caller and robot type voices. Of course, these weren’t the only voices heard, but the mixture really helped to keep the students’ attention throughout each lesson.
Fun for the Whole Family
Of course, I had to play some of the fun songs for my grandkids when they came to visit me!
They loved the Classroom Fun with Songs and Stories, Huge Helping Machines, and the many, many animal songs available on Smart Kidz Radio.

I have always been a huge fan of learning through music, so I absolutely loved the Smart Kidz Radio Program.
Whenever people have asked me over the years why I love learning through music so much, I have always replied by asking them to say the alphabet. Everyone would sing it instead of speaking it. Case closed!
